Eastland Mall Bloomington, IL - Express


I first of all just love the color of the outside of Express- that color red though! :) I think that while they can't obviously change the color of their store with every window, this red works really well with this window and frames it perfectly! But actually onto the window... my eyes are first drawn to the large poster of Karlie Kloss. This poster is what contrasts so well with the red of the outside store walls. The emphasis on this poster is also great marketing, because Karlie Kloss is a well known model that many find beautiful. Having her endorsement for their store can bring in many new customers. People see this poster, recognize Kloss, and get the idea that if they shop here they will look like her or if they are fans, they will want to buy whatever she endorses just because her face is there. This poster makes much more of an impact rather than having a poster of an unknown, commercial store model. Proportionally, the poster works well with this large window. The poster is as tall as the window, and follows the two-thirds rule, so it more appealing. The fact that it takes up the entire left side of the window, leaves your eye to follow the rhythm over to the the mannequin with the products. The products are on trend for the fall season- knee high boots, fringe, fur, and darker colors. I feel that this window draws in customers from all aspects of it! It's a great window!
